Before I came to Frazier I had only been to one school in my entire life. When it was time to transfer to a new school my mom found this school on the west side that had an international focus where I could have experience learning Spanish and be into different clubs after school. So she decided that I should come here to Frazier.

When I first came to Frazier I was a little intimidated coming to a new school but after my first year I was on the debate team, I became really good at speaking Spanish, I met new people and I was comfortable in a new environment.

Although Frazier has wonderful curricular activities it’s not all fun and games. We work really hard academically and to show it we are one of the top elementary schools in Chicago now. We also have a middle school debate team! We’re one of only about 12 schools that actually get to participate and this year we are debating about whether we should place more troops in different countries like Turkey, Afghanistan and Iraq. We also participate in model united nations where we discuss international topics like selling animals illegally and child labor.

Being an 8th grade student at Frazier is really an honor this year because we’re the first class to graduate from this school. Every day at Frazier is always a great day to learn and have fun and everybody should have that same experience I have everyday.
